Position Mission: Provide leadership, fundraising and teamwork skills. Assist local employers to plan, implement and run successful United Way campaigns. Serve as a United Way spokesperson, conveying the needs of our shared communities, specifically in the areas of health and human services.
Key Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to the following):
1. Campaign Planning/Account Management
Attend orientations and training sessions. (Training is 8/17/17-8/18/17 from 8am-4:30pm)
Participate as part of the Campaign team, supporting other team members (CE’s) by sharing responsibilities.
Attend weekly CE meetings and all campaign related events.
Analyze past giving history of each assigned account and work with United Way staff to establish and record current status.
Complete clerical duties and maintain accurate, comprehensive account files. Do ongoing paperwork, accounting reports and appropriate acknowledgements to campaign volunteers. Write and file background notes on each account and update computer records as required.
Work directly with and train ECM’s (Employee Campaign Manager) and representatives to organize and plan effective workplace campaigns.
Maintain contact with ECMs to ensure closure of campaigns and finalize results based on anticipated campaign goals.
Keep United Way staff fully informed of campaign progress.
Evaluate campaign efforts and make recommendations for the following year’s Campaign Executive team.
Complete a nomination form for Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year, Campaign Executive of the Year, and Most Creative FUNdraising Campaign from among your accounts.
Work with volunteers to secure corporate contributions and/or personally contact CEO’s of assigned accounts.
Successfully develop, organize and implement campaign strategies by working with ECM/Volunteers for assigned accounts.
Educate employees about the value of investing in health and human services via our United Way of Kitsap County.
Deliver supplies to companies and assist ECMs with coordination and implementation of all campaign activities.
Provide excellent customer service support. Arrange for speakers, displays or materials from agencies for employee presentations. Arrange agency tours as necessary.
Corporate gift follow-up and/or solicitation.
3. Public Speaking
Make United Way presentations at campaign rallies and ask for contributions, with an emphasis on the benefits of payroll deduction.
4. Reporting and Monitoring Results
Pick up and calculate report forms and dollars received from accounts, and submit all reports, contributions, & pledge forms to the United Way Accounting Department in a timely manner. Use weekly CE meetings as a time to do so afterwards.
Manage giving history, account files, data reports, acknowledgement letters and updates for all assigned accounts.
Evaluate campaigns and make recommendations for the following year.
Work with Campaign Director on award nominations the company should receive.
